🛠️ Step 1: How to Uninstall an App
To prevent old data or cache from causing errors, it is best to uninstall the app through the system settings.
- Go to the Home Screen: Press the Home button on your vSeeBox remote.
- Open Settings: Navigate to the Settings icon (represented by a gear/cog wheel ⚙️) usually located at the top right or bottom of the screen.
- Select Apps: Click on Apps (or Apps & Notifications), then select See all apps.
- Find the Target App: Scroll down the list and click on the app you want to remove.
- Clear Cache & Data (Recommended): Before hitting uninstall, click Clear cache and then Clear data. This ensures no corrupted files are left behind.
- Uninstall: Click Uninstall and confirm by selecting OK.
📥 Step 2: How to Reinstall the App
Depending on whether it is an official system app or a third-party application, use one of the methods below:
Method A: Using the vSeeBox "App Store" (Recommended for System Apps)
Most essential vSeeBox streaming apps are managed through their native portal.
- From the Home Screen, open the Market, App Store, or V App Store icon.
- Browse or search for the app you just deleted.
- Click Download or Install.
- Once completed, click Open or find it on your home screen.
Method B: Using the Downloader App (For Third-Party APKs)
If you are reinstalling an app from an external source or a specific URL:
- Open the Downloader app (if you don't have it, download it from the Google Play Store).
- Enter the specific URL or Short Code for the app's APK file.
- Click Go to download the file.
- Once the download finishes, a prompt will appear. Click Install.
⚠️ Note: If prompted, make sure to allow "Unknown Sources" for the Downloader app in your security settings.
💡 Pro-Tip for Quick Access
After reinstalling, if the app doesn't show up on your main home screen shortcut bar:
- Scroll to the end of your app list on the home screen and click the "+" (Plus) icon.
- Check the box next to your newly reinstalled app to pin it back to your main menu.
